Jeff Bennett


Jeff is a proven medical device industry leader with over 20 years of sales and marketing experience with increasing levels of roles and responsibilities. During this time, Jeff has worked with Vysis/Abbott, Medtronic, American Medical Systems, Boston Scientific and IMRIS where he led the global launch of several high profile medical device product launches. Jeff has extensive global marketing experience in the medical device field as well as experience in direct to patient marketing campaigns.

Dr. Dicken S. C. Ko

Medical and Clinical Advisor

Dr. Ko was Associate Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School and has worked at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School for 22 years where he was Director of Regional Urology.  Before joining Department of Urology full-time in 2012, Dr. Ko worked at MGH as a multi-organ transplant surgeon in the Departments of Surgery and Pediatric Surgery where he was Surgical Director of the Renal Transplant Program.


Dr. Ko is a pioneering surgeon who is a co-leader of the team that performed the first successful penile transplant in the USA. His groundbreaking innovation has been featured in the New York Times, Time Magazine, CNN, and over many media outlets worldwide.


Dr. Ko has served on national committees, boards and on Harvard Medical School committees as well as the American Board of Urology where he is an examiner.  Dr. Ko has over 75 publications in peer-reviewed journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of Urology, Transplantation, and American Journal of Transplantation. He was the 28th President of the Urological Society for Transplantation and Renal Surgery.

Michael Hoey

Scientific Advisor

Michael co-founded NxThera in 2008 to develop and commercialize the urology applications of the vapor platform technology that he invented. Michael has been a director and chief technology officer since NxThera’s inception.

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Michael taught in several departments and performed research at the University of Minnesota, including the Department of Physiology, the Department of Urologic Surgery in the School of Medicine, the Institute of Technology, and the Carlson School of Management.  Professor Hoey also taught in the department of Biological Sciences at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota.


Michael is an expert in the interaction of thermotherapy and tissue and a prolific inventor, with 72 patents granted and 94 patents pending, the majority of which are in the medical device field. Michael’s inventions include platform technologies, which are the foundation for products being sold, or in development for a variety of cardiac surgery, oncology, orthopaedics, pulmonology, general surgery, urology, gynecology, and vascular surgery applications. Michael has been a consultant to, as well as a founder/principal of, several medical products companies, which combined have raised over $250 million of capital.

Nicole Juettner

Clinical Advisor

Nicole has over 18 years of experience in the medical device industry to include Clinical/Regulatory, Product Development, Strategy, Sales and Marketing. This includes Clinical and Sales experience in multiple specialties; Urology, Plastic Surgery, OB/GYN, Thoracic, Pulmonology, Oral Maxillofacial, Dental, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, Podiatry and ENT. Nicole was one of four founding members to start NxThera, Inc. which was a 2014 Tekne Award and 2017 Eureka Award winner and sold to Boston Scientific for over $400M in 2018.

Greg Koeller

IP/Legal Advisor

Greg strives to learn the businesses of each of his clients in order to tailor his intellectual property services to their legal and business goals.  Greg has extensive in-house and law firm experience that benefits both startups and global corporations. His experience includes preparing and prosecuting patent and trademark applications, copyrights, licensing, acquisitions and divestitures. Greg is also able to provide in-house legal services, such as intellectual property portfolio management and advising management teams and other governing bodies on the strength and weaknesses of particular patent and trademark portfolios and strategies on growing, defending, avoiding, and monetizing patent assets.
